Bride and Groom Events – Design and Hire for Fine Events in Perth » Bride and Groom help couples create beautiful and elegant ceremony, cocktail functions and wedding receptions in which to celebrate family and friendship, all while complimenting the unique Western Australian lifestyle that we love. We service all areas from the Perth metro area to the Swan Valley to the south-west and Margaret River.

Earlier this year we announced our first internship program with Bride & Groom. We were inundated with applicants and were so fortunate to work with two amazing interns who certainly became invaluable to our team and we were able to teach in different areas for them to learn new skills they wanted.

We are pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for Spring and Autumn Internships for the coming wedding season!

This is what we’re looking for in the successful applicant:

  • Someone who can commit to working 10-15 hours per week with a flexible schedule as each week is different
  • Someone who has a passion for the event industry, weddings and organisation
  • A great work ethic is very important as well as someone with a hunger for learning, can problem solve independently and is able to work in a team environment
  • A “can do” attitude bringing positivity and professionalism to our team
  • Someone who is familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest
  • A working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Someone who is willing and able to join our delivery team as we roll out beautiful events across Perth (usually on Saturday’s)
  • Someone who is physically fit as is required for when we deliver furniture and set up events

Here are some of the things you’ll expect to learn and do:

  • How to assist with stock preparation and working with a rental management system
  • Understanding the flow of an event schedule and working with other vendors
  • How a bustling event design and hire business runs during peak wedding season
  • The basics of social media to grow a small business and interacting with followers
  • How we serve our Clients and always provide them with the best experience and product possible
  • Writing occasional blog posts

This position is unpaid and we are confident that our internships offer great learning opportunities and skills required to enter the event industry and be part of a small business. Each position is for a period of 12 weeks to allow our interns to understand all facets of the event industry and how a small, creative business is run. If chosen for the internship, you will need to work in person at the Bride and Groom headquarters in East Perth.

We are delighted to see one of our 2015 weddings featured in this month’s special Cake issue of Modern Wedding Magazine. Katherine and Julian’s March wedding at the UWA Club was total elegance with lots of classic Chanel inspired black and white decor and Kat looked breathtaking in a Pallas Couture gown on the big day.

We were able to help this couple with their sit down dinner style reception providing our Black Tiffany Chairs that were paired with sophisticated white linens. Our Glass Beaded Charger plates were used at the table and they were set under the magnificent foliage creations by Natural Art Flowers.

March this year brought some amazing wedding weather and it was on one of those lovely weekends that we were pleased to be involved in Claire and Mitch’s wedding ceremony and reception at BWG Steakhouse. We had been corresponding with Claire for some time and were so excited about the incredibly intimate wedding she was planning, filled with delicate details.

The ceremony setup over looked the Swan River and included our white tiffany chairs and parasols for their guests. The American Oak Coffee Table and Jillian Armchairs were used as a signing setting with a stunning arrangement from Natural Art Flowers resting on top.

For the ceremony, we used the same white Tiffany Chairs inside for the seated dinner and our Glass Beaded Charger Plates helped set the table space. The dining room was beautifully dressed once again by Natural Art Flowers having a lavish and warm effect on the space.

Claire and Mitch also used our East Hampton Lounge inside and the Martin Bench Sets outside, creating an extra area for guests to mingle and relax after the ceremony. Congratulations Claire and Mitch!

Bride & Groom recently had the pleasure of being involved in an inspiration shoot for The Wedding Playbook. The theme of ‘Watercolour Garden’ was played out in the Margaret River Secret Garden and featured lush greens, pastel purple & yellow, subtle pinks and golds. We had a great time hanging out with all those amazing hydrangeas that were literally as big as your head.

Our East Hampton Lounge Setting is featured, along with some of our smaller and more delicate hire items, such as the gold, geometric display boxes and floor lanterns. Seen here on one of our seagrass mats, our Carmel Coffee Table goes perfectly with this set up and was dressed beautifully with blooms by Willow Lane Creative!

Showcased at the table setting were Glass Beaded Charger Plates paired with Eucalyptus Homewares dishes and delicate Lines and Squares Linen. Our ever popular Walnut Tiffany Chairs were used as the table seating and added a warm contrast against the greens of the garden.

The picturesque Mandoon Estate is fast becoming one of our favourite wedding venues in the Swan Valley. Not only are their wines beautiful (if you haven’t tried their 2015 Rose, you are missing out!) but the grounds are so welcoming. Mandoon was the setting of choice for Jenny & Daniels big day, in October 2015. After eloping in New York a few months prior, we were lucky enough to be a part of the team of vendors they picked for their Australian nuptials. The beautiful images you see here were captured and provided by the talented Jemma Keech.

Jenny & Daniel’s ceremony took place on the manicured lawns of Mandoon  in front of the Linton & Kay gallery and incorporated our bamboo canopy dressed with the dusky pink curtains along with Tiffany Chairs in Walnut. Vibrant and bountiful bouquets were created by Flower Talk and placed upon wine barrels for a rustic touch. The Reception was held in the stunning function centre, which features floor to ceiling glass windows that look out to the river and gardens below. And the elegant, flower topped cake by De la Rosa Cakes was just perfect!
